科目概要

Course Description

課程述敘：

本學年課分成上、下學期，開放給大四學生。課程的目標為教導學生撰寫研究論文的技巧，其中包括研究主題的確定、研究方法、文章架構發展、論文撰寫格式、資料引證與參考和書目編排等。這些訓練可以強化學生寫作、研究及文字組織能力。

This two-semester course is open to first and second semester senior-year students. Its aim is to instruct students on the skills needed to write a research paper, including: choosing and narrowing a topic, research methods, developing ideas, formatting, using resources, and conventions for citations and references. Through this process, students will strengthen their writing ability as well as their research and writing organization.

Course Objectives

課程目標：

(1)    透過個人習作及小組討論改進寫作能力。

(2)    熟悉圖書館及電子資料庫的資料探詢技巧。

(3)    加強文章架構的組織與發展。

(4)  在第二學期末，完成最少10頁篇幅的研究論文。

(1) To improve writing ability through individual and group practice

(2) To be familiar with library and electronic research skills

(3) To improve thesis development and organization

(4) At the end of the second semester, to produce a research paper of 10-15 pages in length

Evaluation Criteria

Assignments 60%

Final Paper & Presentation 30%

Class Participation 10%

Course Requirements & Policies

1. Plagiarism will result in failure of the course.

2. All assignments must be submitted on time. No late work will be accepted.

3. Students should follow the academic requirements and attendance policies of the 2-year college at Wenzao.
